Our Father's Business
Even as a young boy, Jesus was already ‘about his Father’s business’. He labored faithfully, even unto death, and with renewed life continues the work to this very day.
As Believers, we are to follow this very same family tradition. But while we all have the same general calling — to faithfully follow God, love each other, and share the Gospel — the specific work that we are each to perform in His Kingdom varies both according to our role in the community of faith, and the seasons of our personal walk.
Did you ever wonder why you are here? Think about it: If you are already saved and perfect in God’s sight, why has He left you on the earth? What is His mission and purpose FOR YOU?
Are you believing that, maybe, you don’t have one? Really?!
Let us assure you: The Creator of the Universe did not make you, rescue you from darkness by the blood of His only son, and call you His “handiwork” and “treasured possession”. All so that you can hang out and do nothing?! No way!!
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
“We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.” Romans 8:28-30
“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all….But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be?” 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, 18-19
Wake up, O sleeper! It’s time to know the Truth, understand who you truly are in Christ, and walk in the fullness of your calling in your life, business, ministry, everything!
How do you get there from here? Well, it’s the work that God began in you that He will faithfully finish, as you hear and believe His voice, yield to the Spirit, and proceed in faith.
